이 중 Silence 시리즈는 Dust Drawing에서 출발하여, 손과 디지털의 차이, 감성과 이성의 충돌을 반영하며 지속적으로 진화해왔다. 

작가는 수평과 수직의 선을 반복적으로 긋는 행위를 통해 감각과 호흡이 축적된 화면을 만들고, 여기에 필름을 덧입히는 방식으로 시각적 층위를 완성한다. 

윤상렬의 작업은 ‘두려움’이라는 근원적 감정과 마주하는 데서 출발한다.

Since 2007, Sangryul Yoon has developed a unique artistic language grounded in the concepts of line and light and dark.

His work serves as a visual archive of life spanning from childhood memories to social experiences translating personal and collective events and ideas into layered compositions.

His major series include Dust Drawing, which captures afterimages through scratched traces; Optical Evidence, where image elements are densely constructed; and Silence, a body of work that visualizes the depth of silence through the accumulation of repeated lines. 

The Silence series evolved from Dust Drawing, reflecting the tension between hand and digital, emotion and reason. 

Through the repetitive act of drawing horizontal and vertical lines, Yoon builds a surface imbued with rhythm and breath.
