December 10, 2025. The show will feature the artist\u2019s latest works.\r\nSince the 1980s, Park has been an important figure in Korean contemporary art. Starting in 1981, he has explored the relationship between art, language, and emotion using materials such as paper, photographs, and printed matter. \r\nAlongside these works, he has also created outdoor installations and projects using natural materials.\r\n\r\nSince 1992, Park has focused on paintings made up of repeated stripe patterns in bold primary colors. His works are minimal and conceptual, stripped of personal stories or emotional expression. \r\nTheir meaning is not immediately clear, and the images\u2014similar to street awnings, construction screens, or European flags\u2014reflect his view of art as a way to understand and question the world.\r\nHe often uses complementary color pairs like red and green, blue and yellow, or sky blue and orange, arranging them in repeated pairs across the canvas.\r\nSince 2000, he has painted on linen canvases using pigments he mixes himself. While his early paintings simply divided the surface into color fields, he later began experimenting with different patterns,\r\nlayers, and arrangements\u2014developing his visual language while keeping a strong sense of continuity.\r\n\r\nPark believes that good art should always exist on the edge of artistic discourse, and he works to avoid falling into routine despite the repetitive nature of his process.\r\n\r\nIn 2020, Park presented his works from the 1980s as part of the exhibition \u201cMade in Daegu II\u201d at the Daegu Art Museum.
