The eight works on display in this  are landscape photos that the artist has produced in Mt. Seorak, Mt. Odae, and Mt. Worak since 2008. They show light and seasons on a large 230x300cm screen as if they are unfolding in front of you.\r\n\r\nPresent can be interpreted as 'presence' or 'standing in front of it', which indicates Boomoon's photographic attitude. In the early 1970s, he chose a camera instead of a brush because he desperately needed recognition rather than expression, and that attitude has not changed even today, 30 years later. \r\nPhotographic images, which have been identified with real objects because they are too transparent media, have been used to show anything 'like the real thing' in today's mass production and consumption of images, and it is a fiction that has nothing to do with 'reproducing objects through light', the original function of photography. For this reason, consideration of the truthful function of photography, which was taken for granted, began to be requested. If a photograph shows the truth, what kind of truth is it? Boomoon's recent large-scale photographs are an answer to the problems facing photographic images today and are new landscape images based on the premise of an era in which more and more world information is obtained through digital data. \r\n\r\nCharlotte Cotton, who introduced Boomoon\u2019s work in , said, \u201cHis photographic strategy is to contemplate the unknown and uncontrollable nature of nature.
