\r\n\r\nTakashi Suzuki majored in Sculpture in Tokyo Art Graduate School. During 1980s and 1990, the artist created a body of works that was mainly geometrical pipes sculptures. In 2000s, Suzuki changed his direction to flat surface works. This change shows that the artist\u2019s interest has naturally shifted to paintery expression and visual experience through colors. From 2007, Suzuki\u2019s monochrome red and blue works has been placing tension and eutaxy in the exhibition space. In the artist\u2019s work concept, there are three essential elements; size of canvas, color, and interpretation of the exhibition space. Space recognition, simple forms and vivid colors create separation of vision and arise consciousness and voidness.","source":"","date_label":"","external_url":"","publication_date":"","isbn":"","price":"","dimensions":"","weight":"","pages":"","credit":"","authors":"","description":"","kind":"","contact_html":"","portrait":0,"hero":1442,"biography_pdf":0,"press_pdf":0,"document_pdf":0,"cover":0,"artist_id":0,"inquiry":false,"works":[{"id":1451,"caption":"Text No.977, 1410x1410x27mm, each(set of 2), oil,acrylic on canvas, 2013","alt":"Text No.977, 1410x1410x27mm, each(set of 2), oil,acrylic on canvas, 2013"},{"id":1452,"caption":"Text No.1093, 2046x1570x30mm, overall set of 3 parts, oil,acrylic on canvas, 2016","alt":"Text No.1093, 2046x1570x30mm, overall set of 3 parts, oil,acrylic on canvas, 2016"},{"id":1453,"caption":"Text No.1013, 385x385x20mm,(each)set of 2 parts, oil on linen, 2014    Text No.1027, 385x385x20mm,(each)set of 2 parts, acrylic,ink on cotton, 2014","alt":"Text No.1013, 385x385x20mm,(each)set of 2 parts, oil on linen, 2014 Text No.1027, 385x385x20mm,(each)set of 2 parts, acrylic,ink on cotton, 2014"},{"id":1454,"caption":"Text No.1021, 530x380mm,(each)set of 2 parts, oil on paper, 2014","alt":"Text No.1021, 530x380mm,(each)set of 2 parts, oil on paper, 2014"}],"installation":[{"id":1443,"caption":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017","alt":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017"},{"id":1444,"caption":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017","alt":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017"},{"id":1445,"caption":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017","alt":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017"},{"id":1446,"caption":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017","alt":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017"},{"id":1447,"caption":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017","alt":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017"},{"id":1448,"caption":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017","alt":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017"},{"id":1449,"caption":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017","alt":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017"},{"id":1450,"caption":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017","alt":"Installation view, Gallery shilla, 2017"}],"extra":[],"participants":[{"id":38,"name_ko":"","name_en":""}]},"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-160","gs_exhibition","type-gs_exhibition","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/galleryshilla.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/gs_exhibition\/160","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/galleryshilla.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/gs_exhibition"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/galleryshilla.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/gs_exhibition"}],"version-history":[{"count":3,"href":"https:\/\/galleryshilla.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/gs_exhibition\/160\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":3689,"href":"https:\/\/galleryshilla.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/gs_exhibition\/160\/revisions\/3689"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/galleryshilla.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=160"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
