Lee bases his art practice on conceptual aspect of art, which leads to his paintings of geometrical structures.\r\n\r\nRecent paintings of Lee divides the canvas planes by intersecting horizontal and vertical lines. The lines compose proportion and balance that result in a sense of space. The planes also create sense of time through restrained lines between one-colored surfaces. Also, stableness from set proportions and tension from lines can be observed on the canvas.\r\n\r\nLee recently finished his solo exhibitions in Seoul and Busan, and participated in numerous group exhibitions. In exhibition by Gallery Shilla, twenty new paintings will be introduced.","source":"","date_label":"","external_url":"","publication_date":"","isbn":"","price":"","dimensions":"","weight":"","pages":"","credit":"","authors":"","description":"","kind":"","contact_html":"","portrait":0,"hero":1514,"biography_pdf":0,"press_pdf":0,"document_pdf":0,"cover":0,"artist_id":0,"inquiry":false,"works":[{"id":1518,"caption":"Untitled-1868, Untitled-1869,Untitled-1870, each 50.7x50.7 cm, acrylic on cotton duck,2018","alt":"Untitled-1868, Untitled-1869,Untitled-1870, each 50.7x50.7 cm, acrylic on cotton duck,2018"},{"id":1519,"caption":"Untitled-1784, 162x130 cm, acrylic on cotton duck, 2017","alt":"Untitled-1784, 162x130 cm, acrylic on cotton duck, 2017"},{"id":1520,"caption":"Untitled-1870, 227x182 cm, acrylic on cotton duck, 2018","alt":"Untitled-1870, 227x182 cm, acrylic on cotton duck, 2018"},{"id":1521,"caption":"Untitled-1803, 182x182 cm, acrylic on cotton duck, 2018","alt":"Untitled-1803, 182x182 cm, acrylic on cotton duck, 2018"}],"installation":[{"id":1515,"caption":"","alt":""},{"id":1516,"caption":"","alt":""},{"id":1517,"caption":"","alt":""}],"extra":[],"participants":[{"id":51,"name_ko":"","name_en":""}]},"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-155","gs_exhibition","type-gs_exhibition","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/galleryshilla.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/gs_exhibition\/155","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/galleryshilla.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/gs_exhibition"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/galleryshilla.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/gs_exhibition"}],"version-history":[{"count":3,"href":"https:\/\/galleryshilla.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/gs_exhibition\/155\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":3685,"href":"https:\/\/galleryshilla.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/gs_exhibition\/155\/revisions\/3685"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/galleryshilla.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=155"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
