and Lee U Fan from June 15th to July 15th, 2021 . Focusing on 15 prints from the 1970s and 1980s, it will be an opportunity to examine the art worlds of Quac In Sik (1919-1988) and Lee U Fan (1936-). \r\n\r\nPrintmaking \u2013 Quac In Sik, Lee U Fan \r\n\r\nIn the 1950s and 1970s, in a barren economic environment in Korea and the \u201cart infrastructure\u201d that was virtually non-existent, I did not follow the flow of Western art, but at the same speed as the flow. There are Korean artists who pursued new aesthetic values ahead of them. \r\n\r\nQuac In-sik (1919-1988) and Lee U-fan (1936-) are representative of such writers. From then on, the physical properties of objects were explored. \r\n\r\nToshiaki Minemura, a Japanese critic, commented on his pioneering achievements, or achievements ahead of the flow of the West, as follows: \u201cThe advancement (of the art world) in 1962 was a transformation of Quac (awareness) as an individual, and at the same time, Japanese art in the late 1960s. This trend, initiated by Quac In-shik, led to the \u201cMonoha\u201d movement by 14 artists from Tama University, including Kishio Suga, and also in Korea, \u201cLee U-fan\u201d It is continuously developed by another person named Lee U-fan. The \u201cexploration of Korean materiality\u201d shown through Lee U-fan's works is being illuminated as a significant art historical phenomenon that is also attracting attention in Western art history.
