This exhibition will be held in Daegu and then in Seoul in 2022. \r\n\r\nFor these two exhibitions, which will be held in Korea for the first time in 15 years, he will present a variety of works from 2003 to the present. For the two exhibitions, the artist prepared each work as a continuum while thinking of each space (Daegu, Seoul). \r\n\r\nThe main concept of Nicolas Chardon's work is to reveal the instability, disorder and narrative of abstract painting. Despite the strict protocol he has been following since 1998, it shows the diversity of the figures. The diversity shows the power of the grid that always creates new situations in the picture. The softness (flexibility) of geometry in his work strongly shows the power of the grid. Because the transformed form of his painting reveals the actual state of change or transformation of the grid. It is not pure abstraction. They are about the limitations of movement and liberation from painting. He sees it as a simple psychological form. Each form is a thing, and each thing is a form. And in painting, in its repetitiveness, he includes the process of transition between generality and specificity between one and the other.
