Doo-Young Park, a prominent Korean contemporary artist based in Daegu, has maintained a consistent presence in the art world since the 1980s. <\/span><\/p>

His early practice focused on conceptual works that deconstructed and restructured systems of thought through investigations into experience, language, and meaning.<\/span><\/p>

During this time, he also created installations using photography, soil, and natural materials<\/span> <\/span>works that now survive primarily through archival documentation.<\/span><\/p>

He later transitioned into painting, developing a unique formal language characterized by the repeated arrangement of complementary color fields<\/span> <\/span>green and red, blue and yellow<\/span> <\/span>across the surface. <\/span><\/p>

His early paintings were made with watercolor on paper and handmade pigment mixtures on panel.<\/span><\/p>
