Hong Seung Hye
「홍승혜」의 개인전이 2006. 2.24(금)~3.20(월)까지 갤러리 신라에서 개최된다.
홍승혜는 1959년 생으로 서울대학 졸업하고 파리 국립미술학교 졸업 하여 현재 서울 산업대학교 조형예술과 교수로 재직중이다. 그녀는 기하적인 형태를 유동적인 비정형의 이미지로 전환하여 평면의 화면을 구성하는가 하면 오브제나 공간 마감재로 제작하기도 한다. 90년대 초.중반 홍승혜의 작업에서 줄곧 등장하였던 일련의 모티브와 도상들이 다른 모습으로 최근작에서도 지속되고 있는 것을 볼 때, 작품의 제작방법과 형식에 있어서는 전폭적인 변신을 유도하였지만 이미지의 레파토리의 근간은 고수를 하고 있어서 그 동안 작업 전개과정에 설득력을 부여한다.
이번 전시에서는 Aluminium 작업 이외에도 wall painting을 통한 Ready-made Sculpture, 레스토랑 Sign, 가구, 애니매이션 등을 선보인다.

A solo exhibition of 「Hong Seung Hye」 will be held at Gallery Shilla from February 24 (Fri) to March 20 (Mon), 2006.
Born in 1959, Hong Seung Hye graduated from Seoul National University and Paris National School of Fine Arts, and is currently working as a professor at Seoul National University of Fine Arts. She converts geometric shapes into fluid, atypical images to compose flat screens, or to create object or space finishing materials. Seeing that a series of motives and icons that appeared in Hong Seung Hye's works in the early and mid-1990s continue to exist in her recent works in a different form, a complete transformation was induced in the production method and form of the work, but the basis of the repertoire of images is Since he is sticking with it, he gives persuasive power to the development process of his work.
In addition to aluminum work, this exhibition will show ready-made sculptures through wall painting, restaurant signs, furniture, and animation.
